The Wood Has a Story
Before It Meets You

"Old-growth wood that was harvested 100 years ago has already done its carbon work. Giving it a second life in your home is the most sustainable choice you can make — and the most beautiful."

WHY RECLAIMED WOOD

Three Reasons It Resonates

Environmental

No new trees cut. Old-growth timber that cannot be replicated — the density and grain of reclaimed wood simply doesn't exist in new lumber. When you choose reclaimed, you choose the most sustainable option available.

Historical

The wood has a story. Hemlock barn boards from WNC family farms. Wormy chestnut before the blight. Circle-sawn oak from old structures. That narrative is something you literally cannot buy new.

Uniqueness

Every piece is one of a kind. A $500K mountain home should have a kitchen nobody else on earth has. Reclaimed wood guarantees that. No two boards are the same. No two kitchens will ever match.

THE WOOD WE WORK WITH

Every Species Has a Story

WNC BARN BOARDS

Reclaimed Hemlock

Old hemlock barn boards from farms that have been around for 100+ years. The silver-gray patina and hand-hewn marks tell the story of generations of mountain life. We finish it to bring out the depth of the grain while preserving every mark of its history.

PRE-BLIGHT TIMBER

Wormy Chestnut

American chestnut was once the dominant tree of the Appalachian forest — until the chestnut blight of the early 1900s wiped out nearly every tree on the continent. Wormy chestnut hasn't been available new since then. The distinctive worm tracks are not defects — they are proof of age and rarity that money cannot replicate.

RECLAIMED BUILDINGS

Circle-Sawn Oak

Circle-sawn oak salvaged from a variety of old structures. The tool marks left by the craftsmen who shaped it are still visible — a testament to the hands that built with it. We repurpose this wood into cabinets and furniture that carry the weight of American history.

OLD-GROWTH LONGLEAF

Reclaimed Pine

Old-growth longleaf pine from 19th-century structures. Denser, harder, and more resinous than any new pine available today. The tight grain rings — sometimes 30 or more per inch — are the result of slow growth in old-growth forests that no longer exist. A material that simply cannot be sourced new.
